About the area
This apartment’s location is the nearest thing to perfection. The building where the flat is located has as 4 cardinal points, Park Guell to the east, Park del Turo del Putxet towards the south, Park de la Creueta del Coll towards the north and Tibidabo, the Bellesguard tower and the Science Museum to the west.
The neighbourhood where this apartment is placed, Vallcarca and Los Penitentes, is sheltered between two hills, Putxet and la del Coll.
The area is bathed in tranquillity and certainly has a better air quality then the rest of the city, since it is situated so close to Tibidabo mountain. Vallcarca was originally part of Horta. It was a neighbourhood of holidaymakers and people with different interests who lived in the valley.
The holidaymakers wanted peace and quiet and the people of the valley wanted better communications. Finally, a viaduct was built across the valley (the Vallcarca bridge) and the stream was developed. Following its course, the Avinguda del Hospital Militar was opened to traffic, which meant the end of isolation.
