That is why its most famous market, Bouqueria is at the border between Rambla and Raval, as this enabled traders to avoid paying the tax on merchandise. Nowadays, Raval shelters many beautiful spots such as Palau Guell, designed by Gaudi for his patron, Eusebi Guell.
Another site not to be missed is the Sant Pau del Camp Monastery, decorated with Moorish arches and Romanesque style.
