The area of Sants

Sants is a typical residential neighbourhood, there are not many tourists here and there are not many tourist attractions. There are still some, such as the beautiful Plaça Espanya and Montjuïc, where you will find the Poble Espanyol, the Magic Fountain and the pavilions of the Fira de Barcelona.

The Barcelona-Sants central station, the biggest train station in the city, is located here. It is the main departure point for high-speed trains and it offers a great connection with the rest of Spain and also with the south of France and Paris. In addition, there is a direct train to El Prat airport. Near the Sants station you can visit the Parc de l’Espanya Industrial. With its stone steps and an artificial lake in the centre of the park, it is a beautiful place to enjoy lunch and a great space for children to play.

There is a number of great restaurants in the area, in addition to some cosy bars with their terraces (the best are in Plaça d’Osca). Most of the restaurants are Catalan cuisine, although there are also some good Italian, Mexican, Chinese and Japanese places. In 2019 the famous Japanese chain Nobu opened their hotel and restaurant here.
