The building is the work of the architect Francesc Daniel Molina, whose most important project was that of the Plaza Real in Barcelona. Its structures were characterized at the time by their facades with reliefs, and this one, in particular, was one of the first buildings in Barcelona that were allowed to exceed one hundred feet in height. The project has 20 apartments that will be built out of the original building.
