Architecture, a true love story
This architecture is so significant and unique that makes the city what it is.
Anybody who travels to Barcelona falls in love with this city and its architecture.
Everybody knows Antoni Gaudi as the master of the architecture of Barcelona,
but the city has much more to offer.
Barcelona is now known as the capital of Modernism, a mixture of taste and colour
You don't feel the same in every neighbourhood. You walk around the narrow streets of El Raval or El Gothic, where you can see all the clotheslines at the balconies. Then you end up in the wide and squared streets of Eixample.
These two districts can make you feel like you are in a maze if you don't know where you are going. And that is exactly what you should do! Get lost in the streets and discover some unusual and exciting places!
Whereas in Eixample, the squared streets might make you lose your way if you don’t pay attention if you turned. It happened to me a few times, I was just looking up, and instead of turning right, I kept going because I thought I already turned.
One thing is sure about Barcelona, it’s that it knows how to perfectly combine the contemporary and the modern. Wandering in Barcelona is like travelling through time and art.
What I like about this city is that there is not just one neighbourhood that has master’s pieces, but the entire city is an artwork
The inside of the buildings is just as amazing, you can still see some old construction, that gives a soul to your place. Or you can leave in a totally refurbished apartment in the middle of a Roman-structured neighbourhood. Depending on what you like!
