Food is life

When you travel there are two things muy importante to do to fully discover a city and its culture. The first one is to see the main attractions (and some hidden ones). The second is to eat the food specialities and drink the local beverages. This article is dedicated to those food lovers who need just a little persuasion to come to Barcelona!   We all know that one sentence that says that “food brings people together”! Well, in Barcelona, it definitely does the trick. Spending time around some tapas or paella and talking and having fun with your friends is typical of Latin countries. And as a French girl, that’s probably what I like most.   For those who don’t speak Spanish, it means “eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die”. What you need to understand about Spain is that they just enjoy their lives. It's a reminder that no matter what happens, we need to enjoy the little things in life. And for the Spanish people, it’s all about food and drinks and time of sharing. When I first arrived, my friend showed me so many places to try that I don’t even remember the names of the restaurants and bars. I can only remember that they were located in Eixample, El Gothic or El Raval. He told me everything about the little churros place to the Colombian bar with a salsa dancefloor in the back. So many places to discover and so many foods to try! Once you finish these delicious meals you have to drink sangria or vermouth, and party to burn all the calories. And another good thing about Barcelona is that the city never lacks parties PS: I expressed my love for Spanish food in this article, but for those who would like something different. The Barcelona girl of our office knows the best Kebab in town, and it’s called Perejil!    

During this crisis, all we can do is simply wait for it to be over,

so we can go back to the streets and taste our favourite food.

And for food lovers like me, we will enjoy them more than ever!
